403 (b) and 457 (b) Retirement Savings Plans

The East Central ISD offers eligible district employees to enroll in either a 403(b) retirement plan or a 457(b) retirement plan.  Both of these retirement options provide additional retirement investment opportunities that are separate from the Teacher Retirement System. These retirement savings plans allow employees to make contributions on a pre-tax or post-tax basis. There is no Annual Enrollment Period for tax-deferred investment plans - you are allowed to start, stop, increase or decrease contributions at any time. Employees who contribute to the 457b plan have a free financial wellness benefit through FinPath.  FinPath is designed to help strengthen your financial wellness.
